* Installed a Gotek drive in place of the standard floppy drive

Current State

* Runs intermittently (Battery removed and it runs OK now, see below)
    * Black screen, pretty regular atm. Sometimes load the interface with a cart installed but doesn't read the cart
    * Battery has exploded and needs replacement
    * Pass through card adapter was filthy and has been cleaned

There is no BIOS upgrade in the firmware, Need to flash the eeprom


Black Screen with parallel

This device remembers(?) the rom over power off if the parallel cable remains connected to the PC


To get back to the menu you need to remove the PC on the parallel port.


This is a known issue and a custom cable can be built to deal with it by disconnecting a number of lines ... information on how many and what you need seems to be all over the place


Will probably build an adapter so as to not modify a cable.
